VegamIC provides a homegrown, design-automation platform for analog/RF ICs. It integrates circuit synthesis with layout automation, enabling first-pass designs that traditionally require laborious, expert-intensive iterations. By compressing design cycles from months to hours, our innovation enables quick custom IC design, strengthening India's semiconductor ecosystem and reducing reliance on imports.

The team has developed several proof-of-concept ICs and algorithms that have been reported in leading IEEE conferences and journals in the IC design and automation areas, for example, Best paper nominee at ISPD 2022.
Three IIT Madras-associated team members bring a combined 60+ years of academic and industrial experience in IC design and design automation from companies like Qualcomm, Maxlinear, Washington State University, University of Minnesota, and Synopsys.
