Clean drinking water from air, delivered sustainably for homes and industries.
Vayujal creates affordable, sustainable atmospheric water generators that produce clean drinking water directly from the air. Their solutions serve homes, schools, industries, and remote communities, eliminating dependence on groundwater and tankers. With over 150 installations, Vayujal delivers reliable, energy-efficient water access while supporting climate resilience and ESG goals.
Vayujal Technologies is an IIT Madras-incubated startup supported through research collaboration, lab infrastructure, and technical guidance from the Institute and the International Centre for Clean Water (ICCW). The company has received early-stage grants and R&D support through academic and government-backed innovation programs, enabling them to develop and deploy atmospheric water generators across India. While Vayujal has not yet raised a formal institutional funding round, their work has been endorsed by leading scientists, including Padma Shri Prof. T. Pradeep, and recognized in national media, helping them build strong market traction.
Vayujal holds one granted U.S. patent (US 11,536,520 B2) covering innovations in atmospheric water generation and advanced condensation surfaces. The patent broadly relates to enhanced water harvesting efficiency using engineered micro- and nano-structured surfaces.
