Portable AI compression device revolutionizing lymphedema care post-breast cancer.
Solvinn Medtech develops VerveFlo, an affordable, portable smart compression garment for lymphedema management post-breast cancer surgery. VerveFlo is an Internet of Things (IoT)-enabled device offering therapy tracking, breathable fabrics, and customizable pressure profiles via an app, unlike bulky pumps. Founded by doctors and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur engineers, the 0.8kg beta prototype offers superior portability and a 10-100 mmHg range. The company was incubated at IIT Kanpur with grants from BIRAC (₹50 lakh), MeitY, and BFI BIOME. Solvinn Medtech targets India's ₹500 crore+ lymphedema market, which is growing at a 12% Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR), and has plans for global expansion.
Funding / grants: Secured ₹70L+ non-dilutive funding, including BIRAC BIG24 (₹50L), MeitY Genesis EIR (₹10L), BFI BIOME (₹11L), and NIDHI PRAYAS (₹8L).
Design and utility patents were filed for a novel compression algorithm and wearable system via the IIT Kanpur IP Cell.
BIG by BIRAC (Department of Biotechnology). Incubated at IIT Kanpur SIIC; selected for BFI VK Connect Europe accelerator (shortlisted Phase 1).
A lean team of 8, including 4 founders (doctors and biomedical engineers) with support from over 20 advisors from KGMU, IIT Kanpur, and AIIMS.
