Organomic provides robust, animal-free, human-relevant in vitro models that accelerate drug screening. Their platform includes advanced technologies, from 2D monolayer systems to 3D bioconstructs, enhanced by dynamic platforms that emulate key biological parameters. All solutions are designed to provide rapid, reproducible drug-testing models aimed at improving translational success.
Multiple government grants have been secured for the establishment of proof-of-principle, both independently and through collaborative efforts among academic institutes. The cumulative amount awarded to the lab is 3 crores over a period of 5 years. Efforts are now focused on transitioning the technology and attracting industry-relevant funds for translational success.
The intellectual property portfolio includes two granted patents (covering a drug testing device and organ-on-a-chip technology), one filed patent (for a drug testing device), and one patent application (for simulation-oriented cellular studies).
Sristi-Gyti 2021 Award, 3 Oral Presentation Awards, 8 Best Poster Presentation Awards, 3 Best Thesis Awards (IITB)
The team integrates engineering precision, biological expertise, and pharmacological insight to drive the end-to-end development, validation, and scale-up of the Bharat Organ-On-Chip Platform for pharmaceutical and research settings.
