Maraal Aerospace develops indigenous, solar-powered, long-endurance UAVs for defense, environmental, and commercial missions. By using advanced aerodynamics, lightweight composites, and high-efficiency solar systems, the company provides cost-effective, sustainable, and persistent aerial solutions, allowing for over 12 hours of continuous operation for surveillance, disaster response, connectivity, and industrial monitoring.
We have raised a total funding of ₹5 crore, backed by institutional support, including IIT Kanpur, Startup India, and our own internal investment. In addition to equity funding, we received ₹12.5 lakh in grants through Citi’s Social Innovation Lab, reflecting strong institutional support and credibility for our innovation and impact-oriented work.
Maraal Aerospace holds one granted patent in solar-optimized control systems for solar UAVs. The company is preparing new patents in solar-electric propulsion, endurance-focused aerodynamics, energy management, and modular payload systems. Key technologies, such as autonomous flight control algorithms, battery-solar optimization software, and composite manufacturing methods, are protected as trade secrets. This combined approach secures innovation, supports scalability, and strengthens the company’s leadership in sustainable, long-endurance UAVs.
We received a ₹12.5 lakh Cleantech grant from Citi's Social Innovation Lab and were showcased at major international platforms, including ASEAN–India Scaehub and the ASEAN–India Startup Festival.
