Patents & IP

Processes for producing composite films and coating emulsions/materials based on cereal-derived compounds like wheat straw arabinoxylan, oat bran β-glucan-stearic acid ester, and arabinoxylan-cellulose/starch fatty acid esters (derived from wheat straw and potato peel).

Awards & Achievements

1. ACCT(I) Young Scientist Award-2024 by Association of Carbohydrate Chemists and Technologists (India) ACCT(I). 2. Awarded financial sponsorship from DST-SERB-ANRF its scheme (Government of India) for attending an international conference, ICEAN-2024 (4th-8th November 2024) at The University of Newcastle, Australia.

Team

Our four-member team from BRIC-NABI, a DBT-funded institute, includes experienced scientists with postdoctoral training from the Complex Carbohydrate Research Center (CCRC), University of Georgia, USA, and research associates who hold PhD degrees, supported by funding from the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India.
