Dentifrice Private Limited is a deep-tech MedTech startup building AI-powered oral health screening and care platforms that enable early diagnosis, mass screening, and accessible dental healthcare through data-driven tools for dentists and healthcare systems.
Dentifrice has raised ₹24.6 lakhs to date through non-dilutive grants and institutional support from leading public innovation ecosystems in India. Funding sources include ₹10 lakhs from NIDHI PRAYAS (Government of India) via IIT Mandi Catalyst, ₹3.6 lakhs from NIDHI EIR Fellowship (Government of India) via IIT Kanpur, ₹10 lakhs from the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS) through IIT Guwahati BioNEST, and ₹1 lakh from the Bennett University Innovation Award. Dentifrice is also incubated and supported by IIT Kanpur, IIT Mandi Catalyst, and IIT Guwahati BioNEST, receiving technical mentorship, clinical validation support, and regulatory guidance. The company is preparing for a global institutional fundraise to scale clinical validation, deepen AI capabilities, and expand internationally.
Dentifrice's intellectual property includes a patent application for novel intraoral optical imaging and sensing technology that generates AI-optimized clinical images for early detection of dental diseases. The company also owns proprietary AI models for dental image and radiographic analysis, trained on clinical datasets, and a registered trademark protecting the Dentiview brand. Their strategy focuses on building defensibility across medical imaging hardware, AI-driven image analysis, and clinical data intelligence.
