Low-emission hydrogen with next-gen AEM electrolyzers
CLIMAFOUR is pioneering a game-changing AEM (anion exchange membrane) water electrolysis technology to produce affordable, scalable green hydrogen. Their innovation replaces costly platinum-group metals (PGMs) and toxic PFAS-based binders (e.g., Nafion) with proprietary non-precious metal catalysts and an atomic scale self-assembling process, which slashes costs while boosting efficiency and durability.
Seed grant of 2.4 Lakhs from iStart Rajasthan by CM Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma
Intellectual property in progress includes a process patent for oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) catalysts, as well as a design patent for a 2 kW electrolyzer.
Breakthrough OER catalyst with record-low overpotential. Developed proprietary OER/HER coated electrodes. Selected for iStart Rajasthan and showcased to CM Rajasthan. International recognition at SIEW 2025, Singapore. On track for pre-commercial AEM electrolyzer prototype by 2025.
A PhD-led team with founders experienced in climate-tech startups and open innovation communities, integrating deep electrochemistry R&D with women-in-STEM participation and capacity-building for scalable green-hydrogen solutions.
