Chugg is an innovative food-waste treatment system that converts daily organic waste into clean biogas and nutrient-rich fertilizer. Designed for institutions and industries, it reduces landfill burden, lowers carbon emissions, and supports ESG compliance, enabling organizations to achieve sustainable, cost-efficient, and zero-waste operations.
Grants:1. SIL Citi Bank Grant of Rs 9 lakhs for IoT development. 2. IPTIF (IIT Palakkad) Rs 25 lakhs for market outreach and scale-up.

Recognized by WRI India as one of the "Top 15 Entrepreneurs" of the Land Accelerator South Asia (LASA) 2023 program, Avris was also published by DENA (German Energy Agency) in the 100 Most Promising Start-Ups, Set100 list, for Climate Tech & Energy Transition 2024. Avris has received awards from IFCCI in the Sustainable Category (Sustainability Conclave 2024), and won the Social Innovation Lab (IIT Kanpur & Citi Group Award & Grant, 2025), the Sustainability 100+ Awards (Climate Action under Startup Category, 2025), Envision 2023 "Pitch to Win" Contest (IIT Madras), and The Anveshan Start-Up Challenge (IIM Indore).
Our 16-member team brings deep expertise across engineering, operations, and sustainability. We are incubated at IIT Kanpur and supported by IPTIF, both of which hold equity in Avris. The three promoters come from diverse professional backgrounds, collectively bringing strong experience and complementary strengths to drive the vision forward.
