Eliminating man entry in hazardous workspaces with robotics
Beta Tank Robotics has developed robots to clean petroleum industry tanks without need to human entry. Developed by an ex merchant navy oil tanker captain who has himself led teams to clean over 150 such hazardous tank spaces, this firm has ushered in 2nd generation robots for this application. The machines are specialized robots, controlled and powered by hydraulics and certified to operate in hydrocarbon laden tanks, certified to the highest international explosive safety standard of IECEx Zone 0.
BetaTANK secured seed funding from Oil India Ltd of INR 2.55 crores. BetaTANK also sold a small number of shares at valuation of INR 20 crores.

Chandrasekhar is an ex–Merchant Navy oil tanker captain who has studied Finance Management in Singapore and completed Executive Management at IIM Bengaluru, and has developed, patented, and implemented multiple technologies. The team also includes Chandrasekhar M.H., a SolidWorks designer, and Jayanna, a skilled fabricator, bringing strong technical and manufacturing expertise.
