Agnit Semiconductors private limited is india's first gallium nitride (GaN) product company, specializing in radio-frequency and power electronics. the company utilizes vertical technology integration, from making GaN wafers to designing and manufacturing GaN components using proprietary semiconductor processes. this enables agnit to develop compact, efficient, and high-power solutions for strategic, telecom, and consumer use-cases. a spin-off from the indian institute of science (IISc), bangalore, agnit has differentiated IP based on over 17 years of R&D, resulting in more than 15 patents and 150 journal papers on the technology.
Raised a seed round of USD 3.5 million led by 3one4 Capital and co-led by Zephyr Peacock in Sept 2024 -
Nineteen patents (15 exclusively licensed from IISc, Bangalore) in Gallium Nitride device design, process technology, and GaN epitaxy (wafer production).

Agnit’s interdisciplinary founding team consists of four professors from IISc Bangalore with deep experience across the semiconductor value chain (materials, processes, devices, systems), industrial R&D, and leadership roles at global semiconductor companies. The 31-member team, including 10 PhDs and 7 Master’s degrees, focuses on material science, process integration, device development, and radio-frequency design.
