Beable Health builds affordable, clinically validated, gamified physical rehabilitation solutions for neuro-recovery. Combining portable therapy devices with the Beone software platform, we help patients recover faster while enabling therapists to deliver data-driven, engaging, and scalable rehabilitation across clinics and homes.
Beable Health has raised around ₹2.5 crore through nine competitive, largely non-dilutive grants and accelerator programs between 2017 and 2025. Major funding came from BIRAC’s Biotechnology Ignition Grant and SBIRI schemes, the Indo-US IUSSTF Endowment Fund, Social Alpha’s Quest for Assistive Technologies, and Villgro’s IPitch, along with support from CFHE, CIIE’s IIGP 2.0, IKP’s Late-stage Medical Device Programme, and the HDFC–IIM Calcutta Udgama Accelerator.
Beable Health holds a core patent family around its armable bilateral upper-limb rehabilitation apparatus, with granted protection in the US and Europe and priority from an Indian provisional filed in 2017. There are around 10 trademarks for the company.
Winner of India Innovation Growth Programme (IIGP 2.0) Open Innovation Challenge 2019, receiving a seed grant of ₹25 lakh for market penetration and scale-up. Awarded Gold Medal for Innovation by the Honorable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu, at IIA Fair 2017. Secured 3rd prize in Teaser Pitch Competition at "IKMC 2017: Startup to Scaleup." Named "Startup of the Year – Rehabilitation Technology" at the Nationwide Awards 2020 (Healthcare Awards Category), organized by Business Mint. Winner of IPITCH by Villgro, a leading social enterprise incubator. Top 3 in the Startup Pitch Competition at XPOMET Medicinale, Berlin (International Healthtech and Medtech Event).
Beable Health is led by a compact, interdisciplinary founding team with a strong mix of design, engineering, and healthcare entrepreneurship experience, incubated at the Centre for Healthcare Entrepreneurship (CfHE), IIT Hyderabad. One co-founder holds an MS from IIT Hyderabad, bringing deep biomedical and tech expertise, while the other is a PhD dropout from a design program, adding advanced user-centric design and product thinking to the team’s capabilities.
