Novacret is an IISc-born deeptech platform; our nano-engineered cement-free binder replaces OPC 1:1 to create stronger, ultra low-carbon concrete from industrial waste
IISc-born Novacret is a deeptech platform replacing cement 1:1 with a nano-engineered binder. Our zero cement technology transforms industrial waste into concrete that is 2.5x stronger and 15% cheaper. Slashing carbon by 80% with zero water curing, we’re scaling through landmark partnerships like Bengaluru Airport to decarbonize global infrastructure.
Novacret has successfully secured over $67,000 (₹56 Lakhs) in highly competitive, non-dilutive funding from marquee institutional and corporate backers. This includes grants from the Department of Science & Technology (GoI), Zerodha CSR, and the Villgro Foundation (Catalytic Grant 2.0). Additionally, we are winners of the Climate Pitch-25 by Climate Collective.
One patent filed for ultra-low carbon zero cement technology.
Winner of Catalytic Grant 2.0 by Villgro foundation; Top 20 in UAE-CEPA Startup Ramaiah Evolute Star Startup Award winner.
Our team of 5 represents a strategic "Lab-to-Market" trifecta of science, engineering, and commercial execution. We combine the scientific authority of a Chief Research Scientist from IISc Bengaluru (40+ years in structural engineering) with the operational rigor of an ex-Senior Engineer from Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL). This is anchored by a deeptech entrepreneur and ex-CPO of an MIT-backed venture, supported by a core team of specialized engineers in material science and quality control.
