Voltworks is building next-generation electric drivetrain systems—high-efficiency motors, intelligent controllers, and integrated power solutions—specifically for India’s mass electric mobility ecosystem. The company solves critical industry challenges like reliability in harsh operating conditions, waterproofing, thermal management, overloading protection, and ease of service, enabling OEMs to scale faster with lower downtime and higher vehicle uptime. Voltworks has raised INR 16,500,000 in funding from investors (NRDC, SIDBI, etc.). In addition, the company has received INR 5,000,000 through innovation grants, supporting its R&D, product development, and early commercialization efforts in electric drivetrain and motor control technologies.
The invention focuses primarily on digital DC-current-limit architecture designed to protect the drive hardware. The patent focuses on improving torque ripple in PMSM motors through innovative design decisions, along with improving the manufacturability of motors. External position sensing is used for precise motor control for better serviceability.
