Innovatively designed, lightweight, and high-performance coated and laminated textile for defense and space technology.
GB Texcoat Solution, an IIT Delhi-incubated startup, develops lightweight, high-performance coated and laminated textiles for aerostats, airships, fuel bladders, and marine inflatables using its proprietary TPU nanocomposite technology. Validated with DRDO, the materials offer superior strength and barrier properties, enabling indigenous, cost-effective alternatives to imported defense and aerospace textiles.
We have received funding and grants: MSME incubation scheme grant (15 lakhs), DST-NIDHI SSS fund (25 lakhs), and Startup India (SISFS) fund (25 lakhs).
The technology involves developing a multilayered polymer nanocomposite coated and laminated textile material for lighter-than-air (LTA) systems, such as aerostat envelopes. This material is designed for high performance, including weather resistance. Transfer of technology (TOT) for developing the multilayered TPU nanocomposite coated and laminated textile material for LTA systems is being taken from IIT Delhi and DRDO.
Total 70 Lakhs in revenue generated from product sales in the last year. Flexible and collapsible fuel storage tank demonstration given to the Army (Central Command).
The team is composed of a founder and CEO, technical leadership in R&D and operations, specialized engineering expertise, marketing leadership, and is advised by faculty from IIT Delhi and a retired DRDO scientist.
