Transforming water surfaces into renewable power assets, helping India make tomorrow sustainable.
Quant Solar has executed over 200 MWp of floating solar projects across more than 25 sites. This has saved over 700 acres of land and prevented more than 1.4 billion liters of water evaporation annually, while offsetting approximately 303,600 metric tons of CO2 each year. Their engineered systems convert water bodies into reliable, high-performance renewable energy assets.
Funding was secured through friends and acquaintances (₹7,03,64,668) and a grant (₹10,00,000) from the IIT Guwahati Incubation Center. The company received an initial ₹10,00,000 grant from the IIT Guwahati Incubation Center for technology development, followed by seed contributions from the promoter group and close associates to accelerate market readiness.
Quant Solar has a strong IP portfolio, including 2 granted patents and 15 granted design registrations. These assets cover broad areas such as modular floatation systems, structural optimization, buoyancy engineering, and floating solar platform design, strengthening their technology leadership in floating solar.
Received the Renewable Energy Star Award 2024 at the NDTV Infrashakti Awards 2024. Founders honored with the Nina Saxena Excellence in Technology Award 2024 for innovation in floating solar by IIT Kharagpur. Featured among Industry Outlook’s “Top 10 Renewable Energy Startups – 2023.” Selected as a National Startup Awards finalist in the Clean Energy category by Startup India.
Quant Solar is powered by a 200-member team led by IIT Kharagpur alumni, offering strong expertise in naval architecture, marine engineering, hydrodynamics, structural design, and marine systems. The company is co-founded by Pankaj Kumar and Siddhant Agarwal, who serve as Co-Founders and Whole-Time Directors.
