World's 1st intensive phototherapy with thermoregulation for uninterrupted critical newborn care
Nuviatech Devices, a Med-Tech startup founded by an ex-IIT Bombay team, is developing Sparsh 360. This is the world's first device offering 360° intensive phototherapy with inbuilt warming for uninterrupted neonatal care. Designed for affordability, portability, and mother-infant bonding, it treats jaundice and hypothermia simultaneously—two leading causes of newborn mortality. The device supports hospitals, rural clinics, and home settings. Nuviatech's mission is to deliver accessible, indigenous neonatal care globally and empower healthcare systems to save newborn lives, advancing India's leadership in global health innovation.
₹1,00,000 cash award from GDC, IIT Madras & TDK Japan for innovation in neonatal care; ₹4,00,000 grant received via TIDE 2.0 (GUSEC, MeitY) for idea validation; ₹10,00,000 grant received via MeitY Genesis Scheme (Maker Village Kerala) for prototyping.
