Our laboratory develops next-generation sanitary pads addressing health concerns linked to SAP-based products. Using essential oil–blended nanofiber technology, we offer safer, skin-friendly menstrual care that preserves vaginal balance and reduces irritation. The technology, transferred to E-Spin Nanotech, enables cleaner, science-driven menstrual hygiene solutions for today’s health-conscious consumers.

Received the GYTI Award 2015 for Socially Relevant Technology at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi, on March 8, 2015. Won Gold Medals in 2017 at the 2nd World Innovation Forum in China (October 23-25), the IIA International Innovation Fair held at Vizag (September), and the IENA International Trade Fair (November).
A three-member team, led by an IIT Hyderabad chemical engineering professor and carbon laboratory head, brings strong technical and scientific expertise to the project through members who developed the idea and prototype during their academic program.
