Nanoshield represents Bharat’s self-reliant, plug-and-play nanovaccine platform designed for rapid response to emerging infectious diseases.
Emerging viruses expose gaps in vaccine speed, scalability, and affordability. We developed an indigenous multimeric self-assembling nanocage (MSN) platform—a tag-free, thermostable, E. coli–expressed system enabling multivalent antigen display. Validated across Nano-Covac, Vaxipox, and Betacorona vaccines, MSN supports rapid, low-cost, self-reliant pandemic-ready vaccine manufacturing aligned with Atmanirbhar Bharat.

An Indian patent application (No. 202111046243) and a corresponding PCT application (PCT/IB2022/059713) were filed under the title "Multiepitope Self-Assembled Nanoparticle Vaccine Platform (MSN-Vaccine Platform) and uses thereof." The invention received an Indian patent grant on January 5, 2024, followed by a South African patent granted in July 2025.
